AfriCHAN is a health and nutrition service organisation working to strengthen community well-being through evidence-based programs, professional training, and collaborative partnerships. Founded in Eastern Uganda in 2020, we combine science, innovation, and local action to create lasting impact.
AfriCHAN key program areas aim to improve health outcomes in: maternal, newborn, and child health; nutrition and food Security, Water, Sanitation amd Hygiene (WASH) and food security; adolescent and school health; non-communicable diseases (NCDs); and health systems strengthening. We undertake a multisectoral approach by working existing community structures and leadership.
AfriCHAN is committed to developing the next generation of health and nutrition professionals. Through our structured training programs, mentorship opportunities, internships, and capacity-building initiatives.
